PROFILE: Anna Webber Music Photographer
Anna Webber is a Los Angeles Commercial Music and Portrait Photographer currently living in New York City.
Her artistic training began early in music, writing and art. Experienced in high-visibility photojournalism as a result of interning with, and assisting, Baron Wolman, the first chief photographer at Rolling Stone magazine. Also taught and mentored by British music photographer and owner of www.rockarchive.com, Jill Furmanovsky, learning 35 mm printing and processing at the SACI art studio in Florence, Italy.
At 17, after studying percussion under Walfredo Reyes, Jr., current drummer of Santana, she recorded an EP with her dad and brothers, Witchdoctor and the Legends. This featured Anna on bass, they covered songs like Booker T’s “Green Onions”, and El Chicano’s “Viva Tirado”. With her two older brothers and father both being professional musicians, the entire family makes up a cohesive rhythm section that held the bottom down so steady, it gave her a rock solid foundation for her current foray into the fickle world of creative professionalism.
Anna is also part of an Austin, Texas based company, Webber Design Creative Family (www.webberdesign.net). They are quickly becoming known in the music world for creating Flash website “environments.” They’ve dubbed this process “3D Collage Web Design,” which delivers the viewer into an online, interactive world in which one is free to roam any number of intriguing and eye-catching sub-sites. Besides their signature website design, Webber Design creates quality graphics for all things print and multimedia. Working together with clients to cohesively master the client’s branding needs, Anna offers the photo facet to the company’s vision.
